FPCI’s founder and chairman Dr. Dino Patti Djalal opened this year’s CIFP with his idea on this year's theme "From Non-Alignment to Creative Alignment" . He argued that more and more countries are forming alignments, rather than military alliances, because they are by nature more flexible, diverse, and focus on economic, diplomatic, and technological cooperation. He also explains how Indonesia can base its foreign policy on Creative Alignments to cooperate with specific countries to tackle specific issues. Finally, he touched upon how Indonesia should set its course on the world stage going forward.
